One of our resent stops in Mexico was San Cristobal de Las Casas, a small city located 2300m above sea level in the Chiapan mountains. The city is overflowing with life, teeming with art, politics, music and crafts, there is an incredible fusion of cultures happening here, the numerous cafes, cinemas and bars, cater to the huge expat community whilst the indigenous Mexicans filter down from the out lying villages into the huge vibrant market. Where western influence meets indigenous Mexico, rather than clashing, the cultures are intertwining and flourishing.
