Thoughts
While drifting in the corridors of a cable factory which the Finish inventiveness turned to a massive gallery space, i came across many striking photographs and small quotes of the artist. The images were mainly staged portraits, captured with great technique enabling the story to be said. But my attention was focused on one of the small lines that were spread in between the empty walls. The artist was stating that every single portrait she had captured was a small reflection of her own self. Days and months passed and for some reason i found my self shifting my photographic interest to people and portraiture without knowing exactly why. The only guide i had was my excitement which followed a good day with my camera, drifting in the streets, capturing people absorbed by their thoughts, by their lives and their interactions with their own individual reality. Only recently my vision became clearer, and i remembered that small quote which unconsciously became the reason to start my own quest to observe the small reflections in these timeless moments of solitary thinking which all of us share. And through them to build an image of how i am. A collection which never ends.
